Joel Sammut
Native Sydney sider Joel Sammut has been writing music since 12 years old. Having returned from living and working in London, New York and Berlin, he’s back in Sydney working on his debut album as a multi-instrumental solo artist.
Sammut lists some of his varied and comprehensive influences; Bowie, Iggy, Lou Reed, Andy Warhol, Rowland S Howard, Nick Cave, John Lennon, Bobby Gillespie, Jimmy Page, Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello and Patti Smith. Quite the melting pot. A diverse blend that’s distilled to formulate Joel’s signature psychedelic/alt/electronic sound - reminiscent of King Gizzards, Dope Lemon and Tame Impala.
